Ljubljana has one of the most interesting food cultures in Central Europe — and the best way to understand it is not through a restaurant menu, but through its ingredients. This is a private, hands-on cooking workshop where you and your group cook a seasonal Slovenian meal from scratch, guided by a professional chef, and sit down together to eat everything you made.
No audience. No shared groups. No set script. Just a kitchen, a chef and an afternoon that belongs entirely to you.
What happens during the workshop
The session begins in the kitchen, where your chef walks you through the ingredients for the day — where they come from, what they do, and why each one belongs in the dish.
From there, you cook. The menu is built around the season and adjusted to your preferences — whether you want to learn hand-rolled štruklji, prepare freshwater trout the way it has been cooked in Slovenia for generations, or work through a full three-course menu from appetiser to dessert. The level of involvement is yours to set: some guests want to handle every step, others prefer to watch certain techniques and take over at the parts they find interesting.
The session ends at the table — with the meal you prepared, paired with wines selected from Slovenia’s producers.
